Custodian

Full-Time Custodians WantedO'Neill Public Schools will be hiring full-time custodians. Candidates should be highly motivated individuals with good people skills. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of building maintenance issues, positive communication skills, and the ability to work with a team. Responsibilities would also involve custodial duties as assigned following activities and may include some weekends. The positions will be full-time, 40 hours/week with insurance benefit options, sick and vacation leave, and retirement plan. Salary is competitive and based on skills and experience. Custodians will be assigned, supervised, and evaluated by the Superintendent and their duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:Cleaning of assigned areasPeriodic inspection of facilities to ensure safety and cleanlinessWorking in inclement weather conditionsAccomplishing minor repair work of school property and equipmentStoring and safely caring for all equipment and materials related to the job assignmentControlling litter on grounds and limited snow removalUsing various cleaning chemicalsMaintaining confidentiality of sensitive information related to staff, students, and parentsMaintaining a cordial and cooperative working relationship with all personnel, students, patrons, and vendorsPerforming other duties as assigned
