Vice President, Core Product Management

Illumina seeks a Vice President of Product Management to lead strategy, roadmap, and commercial execution of a biotechnology product portfolio. The role requires a strategic leader who translates market needs and scientific innovation into differentiated products while managing complex cross-functional partnerships across R&D, operations, regulatory, and commercial teams.
Responsibilities
- Define global product strategy, vision, roadmap, and investment priorities for assigned portfolio
- Partner with R&D, Business Units, and commercial leaders to drive product lifecycle from concept through launch and maturity
- Build deep understanding of customer workflows and translate market needs into differentiated products
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product strategy, technical development, regulatory pathways, and go-to-market execution
- Own product-level business performance including revenue growth, adoption, and market share metrics
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading product strategy and portfolio management in biotech or life sciences
- Deep knowledge of genomics, diagnostics, research workflows, or clinical applications
- Proven ability to influence and operate effectively across matrixed organizations
- Strong business acumen with track record of driving revenue growth and financial performance
- Experience building and scaling high-performing product management teams
- Ability to translate customer insights, market trends, and technical complexity into clear priorities
