By joining our Division of Motor Carriers as a Administrative Specialist Senior in Franklin County, you'll havethe opportunity to Provides high-level professional administrative support to internal staff and leadershiprelated to an agency's business operations. Performs duties in the oversight of intricate processes such asactivities involving mandated regulations or procedures, comprehensive research, or collaboration withinternal and external stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Analyze and monitor assigned KATS (Kentucky Automated Truck Screening System).
• Review and Process insurance forms.
• Assist carriers with online processing and login issues.
• Issue KIT (Kentucky Intrastate Tax License) and IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) decals.
• Manage work ques in ICA (Intrastate Certificates Application).

Ideal candidate will have experience in:

• Interprets and applies laws, rules and regulations KAR, KRS and federal statues.
• Providing professional customer service and support to carriers on the phone and in person.
• Experience processing payments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry applications.
• Familiarity with ICA (Intrastate Certificates Application), Motor Carrier Connect and Motor Carrier Portal.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
