Director, Social Engagement

Role:

Lead Pfizer’s social engagement strategy within the Product Communications & Social Engagement team, overseeing execution, governance, and performance of organic social media programs.

Responsibilities:

develop and implement platform-native content strategies across Pfizer-branded and unbranded handles; manage community engagement, safety, and issues response; oversee content operations, including approvals, optimization, and analytics; establish measurement frameworks, KPIs, and reporting; lead cross-functional collaboration with Communications, Legal, Medical, and Agency partners; coach and develop a team of social media experts, manage vendors, and ensure compliance with medical/legal standards.

Requirements:

8+ years in social media, community management, or related field, with significant leadership experience; proficiency with enterprise social tools (e.g., Sprinklr), social platform storytelling (IG, TikTok, X, Facebook, LinkedIn), and analytics; deep understanding of regulatory review processes; strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

HighValue:

healthcare experience preferred, with focus on social engagement in medical or consumer health contexts.

Work setup:

hybrid in New York or other US offices; up to 10% travel.

Additional:

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, operational excellence, compliance, and team development in a complex, regulated biopharma environment.
