About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Facilities to take on a pivotal role in the leadership and management of the construction, operations, maintenance, and repair of all physical plant assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a significant capital improvement plan, directing comprehensive short- and long-term planning, and leading sustainability, fleet, GIS, and strategic real estate programs. This role demands a forward-facing campus leader who can effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders, manage a large staff, and ensure the efficient use of a substantial budget. Applicants for the Associate Vice President for Facilities position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 10 years' of progressive experience in management and administration. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in planning and real estate development, capital program design and delivery, and facilities operations. Essential qualifications include a proven track record in financial management, the ability to work with diverse populations, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in a higher education setting is highly valued, and the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the academic environment.
