Operate the ready‑mix concrete truck and deliver to specified construction sites safely and efficiently, following dispatch instructions and applicable laws. Add materials (fiber, color, or other additives) to the concrete mix when required. Ensure product quality, including slump and other specifications. Maintain communication with the dispatcher about deliveries and check tickets for special instructions. Load materials safely and obtain necessary signatures. Rinse out drums and chutes, dump slurry according to established procedures. Collect payment from customers and record transactions on customer receipts. Inform customers of new products or services and resolve service complaints tactfully. Respond to customer inquiries regarding product knowledge and basic concrete construction techniques. Monitor gauges, investigate abnormalities, perform operator maintenance, and make minor field repairs. Record sales and delivery information. Maintain operator logs, forms, and records per company policy and DOT regulations. Complete written reports of problems or required repairs and forward to maintenance personnel. Keep the work area and vehicle clean and orderly. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs. Maintain regular and timely attendance. Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications Current Class A or B CDL with self‑certification of non‑excepted interstate and current DOT medical card. Ability to operate a manual transmission. Safety‑minded professional with good performance, attendance, and punctuality. Must pass a pre‑employment physical exam and controlled substance testing. Ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment. Occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach above shoulders. Occasionally required to lift or move up to 50–75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Work Environment Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical parts, outside weather, and extreme cold or heat. Typical noise level is moderate.
