Below is additional information on the role: Must have hands-on ERP experience Preferred Systems PeopleSoft (strong preference) SAP (acceptable alternative) Required functional areas: Finance modules, especially: Expenses (mandatory), Accounts Payable, General Ledger (nice to have) Strong hands-on BA experience (at least 7-10 total years of experience) Must Be Willing To Document detailed processes Work directly with business users Required Competencies Process mapping (e.g., Visio) Requirements gathering Creating structured BA artifacts Stakeholder collaboration BPO / Process Improvement Experience Experience with: Process reengineering / optimization Moving from current optimized processes Senior Business Analyst ERP / Process Optimization We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep ERP knowledge and strong leadership in process optimization. The role is based in the Washington, DC area and requires onsite presence up to three days per week. This is a 2 years long-term engagement, subject to satisfactory performance. Role Overview The Business Analyst will support an ERP-focused corporate finance environment and work closely with multiple stakeholders to analyze, document, and optimize business processes. The role will involve business process optimization, process inventory development, as-is and to-be process mapping, and the preparation of functional requirements for system improvements. The ideal candidate should have experience working across corporate finance functions within an ERP environment and be comfortable collaborating with business and IT teams to define current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support implementation activities. Key Responsibilities Facilitate business process optimization initiatives across assigned functional areas. Collect, synthesize, and document as-is business processes. Analyze current policies and procedures and help define future-state process models. Work with stakeholders to identify process improvements and required policy changes. Develop process capability maps, process inventories, and detailed process maps. Create business requirements, functional requirements, use cases, and related BA artifacts. Support the IT team by clarifying requirements and participating in solution validation. Assist with sanity testing before user acceptance testing. Ensure deliverables follow standard documentation templates and are stored appropriately. Functional Requirements Minimum 10 years of business analysis experience. At least 5 years of experience in ERP process environments. Familiarity with common corporate finance functions such as Accounts Payable, Expenses, Purchasing, Cash Management, and General Ledger. Experience working with ERP platforms such as PeopleSoft or Oracle Fusion is preferred. Proven experience leading business process optimization efforts involving multiple stakeholders. Strong background in as-is and to-be process modeling. Proficiency in requirements gathering and producing business and functional requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Work Arrangement Based in the Washington, DC area. Onsite presence required up to three days per week. Standard full-time working hours. Project Expectations Report to and work under the guidance of a business lead. Produce high-quality documentation and project status updates.
