Hiring MIG Welder for Shop Fabrication

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate has strong MIG welding experience and takes pride in producing clean, precise, high-quality welds. This position will involve shop-based fabrication, welding components to drawings and specifications, and completing projects from fit-up through final inspection.

Responsibilities
-Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components and assemblies.
-Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
-Set up and operate MIG welding equipment and related shop tools.
-Perform accurate material preparation, cutting, fitting, and tack welding.
-Maintain proper weld appearance, penetration, and consistency.
-Measure and inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications.
-Work with stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, and other metals as required.
-Grind, clean, and finish welds as needed.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
-Follow all shop safety procedures and welding standards.
-Work independently while also contributing to a fabrication team.

Qualifications
-Proven experience with MIG welding in a professional shop or fabrication environment.
-Ability to produce clean, precise, consistent MIG welds.
-Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum preferred.
-Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
-Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and equipment setup.
-Experience with fabrication and metal fitting is a plus.
-Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
-Ability to safely operate common shop and fabrication equipment.
-Reliable, hardworking, and able to meet production deadlines. \nCompany Description
