DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs appropriate behavioral assessments and evaluation Provides supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline and termination Conducts observations and collects data in the residential/day program setting for assigned behavior referral Develops, approves, and assesses behavior plans to address problem behavior in the residential/day program Provides ongoing consultation services and training to direct care professionals, program supervisors, and program coordinators on behavior support and techniques Provides a monthly written evaluation on the effectiveness of behavior treatment plan Serves on the Behavior Management Committee Provides training and assists staff in Safe Crisis Management and De-escalation Provides staff training for dementia, autism, and polydipsia and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Maintains current state-mandated training and certifications Follows all current policies and procedures of Elwyn New Jersey Cooperates with Elwyn New Jersey and the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services, or any other authorized investigating body during an inspection or investigation Works with, understands, and complies with terms and conditions of collective bargaining agreements (CBA) within a unionized environment with tasks including but not limited to adherence to scheduling procedures, processing transfers and promotions, administering disciplinary actions, adjudicating grievances, where appropriate, etc. Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), crisis intervention and medication administration using agency-trained protocols Assumes rotational management on call as scheduled Performs other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Master’s degree in Psychology or related field from accredited college or university Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) One (1) year experience in providing behavior support services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism Previous experience working within and managing a unionized workforce preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities Demonstrated strong attention to detail Demonstrated strong time management, flexibility, and organizational skills Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervision Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions Ability to be flexible Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team Must be able to perform CPR using agency-trained protocols Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required; and report-writer experience preferred Experience using/knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred Must submit to a criminal background check and be determined to be not disqualified by the New Jersey Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals served Must agree to have their name checked against the New Jersey Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and NJ Child Abuse Registry (CARI) Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record Equal Opportunity Employer Elwyn is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
