Certified by CLEET as an Armed Security Officer with documentation of current status. High School Graduate or equivalent. Work well with students. Has good job and character references. Able to work well with others and take direction as needed. Physically able to meet the needs of the position. Able to pass a complete criminal background check. Such alternatives to the above qualifications that the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Chief of Police and Campus Police Officer at High School. JOB GOAL: To provide students with a safe educational environment. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Patrol and maintain security of student parking lot and exterior of the building. If appropriate operate and maintain the parking lot security booth. Check persons coming onto campus, students, patrons, parents, etc. Check students leaving campus during the school day for appropriate passes and schedules. Enforce parking regulations and rules within the parking lots. Assist the Campus Police Officer and Administration of the school to maintain a safe and secure school environment. Work extra duty activities as needed by the School and the District. Any other special duties assigned by the Chief of Police. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 196 day contract. Salary to be established by the Board. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated monthly during probation periods and annually thereafter in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of nonprofessional personnel.
