Your future role at a glance Location: Elk Grove Village, ILFacility: Ascension Alexian BrothersDepartment: Sleep LabSchedule: Day s hift, Wed - Fri l Part-time Salary range: $29.77 - $41.50 per hour How you'll make an impact in this role Diagnostic Study Execution: Perform both basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies, continuously monitoring the patient throughout the process and intervening as necessary to resolve patient or equipment issues. Patient Preparation & Education: Prepare the patient and equipment for ordered testing, and interview patients to determine specific sleep disorder issues while clearly explaining testing procedures. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify individual needs, and accurately score, interpret, and report the results of all completed sleep studies. Equipment Lifecycle Management: Prepare, calibrate, and maintain all required testing equipment, including performing routine repairs and formally determining and reporting any necessary replacements. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following: Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists(BRPT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Board of Registered PolysomnograhicTechnologists (BRPT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board forRespiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Sleep Technician credentialed from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) obtained prior tohire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. What additional requirements you'll need 1 year of Polysomnographic Technologist experience.
