Inizios clients include Fortune 500 companies, consulting firms, defense contractors, startups, private equity venture capital firms etc./ppWe are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist for one of our key customers, a Nasdaq-listed data analytics and digital operations solutions company that partners with clients to improve business outcomes and unlock growth./ph3Overview/h3pThe Payroll Specialist will have the full responsibility and ownership of assigned business units to administer payroll independently for approximately 700 employees. The incumbent is expected to have the overall knowledge of law related to processing payroll including understanding of Wage and Hour, FLSA and administering the federal, state and local tax withholding. Provides full-service in-house payroll (from withholding to gross-ups) support to assigned business units, using analytical skills to research and solve issues. Must have the ability to work with minimum supervision and manage multiple tasks at once./ppThe candidate would be reporting to the Jersey City office once a week./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliPerform daily payroll department operations for the USA and Canada./liliManage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately/liliIdentify and improve payroll processes from SOX and internal control perspectives/liliReview and reconcile payroll transmission to the general ledger/liliPrepare, reconcile, and review payroll account balances/liliUnderstand proper taxation of employee and employer benefits and deductions/liliReview and process incentive payments/liliCommunicate with HR to obtain the necessary information to process payroll/liliRespond to employees and internal teams when there are payroll inquiries/liliManage ad hoc projects related to payroll and HR/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulli7+ years of managing/processing multi-state payroll/lili2+ years of experience in Canada and/or Colombia payrolls/liliExperience with a company with 2000+ employees/liliStrong knowledge of Federal and State payroll withholdings/liliClose attention to detail/liliAbility to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads/liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills/liliAble to respond to payroll inquiries with professionalism, kindness, and empathy./liliVery strong analytical and problem-solving skills/liliProficient in MS Office especially MS Excel/liliBachelors degree in Accounting or a Business related concentration/liliProven team player/liliPrior SOX compliance experience would be preferred/liliPrior experience with Ceridian Dayforce./liliFluent in Spanish would be preferred./li/ul/div
