Mail Room Clerk

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Mail Room Clerk to support the daily operations of our corporate office. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and distributing mail and packages, coordinating outgoing shipments, maintaining office and shipping supplies, and transporting business materials between company locations and vendors.

What You'll Do

As our Mail Room Clerk, you will:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage.
• Sort and distribute mail, packages, and interoffice correspondence.
• Prepare and process outgoing shipments through UPS, FedEx, USPS, and courier services.
• Package materials and generate shipping labels, tracking information, and required documentation.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules with shipping vendors.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and package tracking records.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish office, mailroom, and shipping supplies.
• Transport mail, office supplies, records, and business materials between company offices and vendors.
• Assist with conference room setups, office moves, furniture deliveries, and special projects.
• Operate mailroom and shipping equipment, including postage machines, scanners, and label printers.
• Research and resolve shipping discrepancies and delivery issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized mailroom and shipping area.
• Support additional administrative, facilities, and office services functions as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, mailroom, warehouse, facilities, or a related role.
• Experience working in a corporate office environment.
• Familiarity with shipping carriers, tracking systems, and logistics processes.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to operate a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business purposes in accordance with company policies.
• Must maintain automobile liability insurance if using a personal vehicle for business-related travel.
• Ability to travel locally between company offices, postal facilities, storage locations, vendors, and courier locations as needed.
• Ability to handle confidential correspondence and company materials with discretion and professionalism.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, carry, push, pull, and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
• Safely operate mailroom and shipping equipment.
• Transport materials throughout office buildings and between company locations.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional corporate office environment and requires frequent interaction with employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel. The role involves regular movement throughout office buildings, mailrooms, storage areas, and shipping locations, along with occasional local travel between company offices and vendor sites.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.06 - $25.08. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus program.
