The department features 15 beds with a supportive team environment, offering locum providers a collaborative and well-resourced setting for delivering quality women's health care. Opportunity: Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology Job Details: Locum Tenens assignment covering urgent dates beginning 07/27/2026 through 08/10/2026, with additional coverage blocks in October, November, and December 2026 through January 2027 Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift within a 15-bed department Must hold an active North Carolina medical license - NC licensure required to bid Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible) Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days Provide obstetrics and gynecology services including low risk pregnancy management Perform OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic) Perform amniocentesis procedures Conduct routine deliveries including vaginal and low forceps deliveries Exercise clinical decision-making for cesarean sections Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations Provide office and minor gynecology services including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP procedures Perform surgical gynecology including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromotubation), and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's) Vendors are responsible for obtaining and submitting all necessary pre-hire requirements including background check and drug screen Nearest airport is RDU; lodging recommendations include Hampton Inn Henderson NC or Airbnb options Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
