Job Responsibilities Identify the billable components in patient records and assign appropriate CPT and ICD‑10‑CM codes with a high level of accuracy. Validate coding accuracy and completeness. Utilize insurance websites proficiently to verify coverage and benefits. Work with Electronic Health Records to retrieve documentation. Qualifications 1+ year of Medical Coding experience in an outpatient setting – Surgical Coding preferred. CPC certification required. 2+ years of medical coding experience in an outpatient setting (ideally surgery). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
