Sales And Marketing Specialist

Our client is a growing, service-focused insurance agency looking to add a Sales and Marketing Specialist to their team. This is a full-time, onsite position located in St. Joseph, MO. Role Description The Sales and Marketing Specialist will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their insurance needs and recommend appropriate products across auto, home, life, and other insurance lines. Daily responsibilities include generating leads through networking, referrals, outbound calls, and digital outreach, following up on inquiries, and preparing personalized insurance quotes. The representative will conduct policy reviews, explain coverage options in clear terms, assist clients with policy changes, and maintain accurate documentation within the agency management system. The role also involves collaborating with team members, participating in ongoing training and coaching, and staying current on insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations to provide knowledgeable and compliant recommendations. Qualifications Demonstrated success in sales, with a proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals. Experience or strong interest in the insurance industry, with the ability to understand and explain multiple lines of coverage. Excellent customer service skills, including active listening, relationship-building, and follow-through. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, accessible way. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple leads, tasks, and deadlines. Proficiency with basic computer applications and willingness to learn agency management and CRM systems. Ability to work full-time onsite in St. Joseph, MO and collaborate with a local team. Current Missouri insurance licenses (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health) or the willingness to obtain required licenses within established timelines.
