Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing and nurturing a trusting relationship with patients to create a safe space for open communication.
  • Conducting thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and develop tailored treatment plans addressing individual goals and circumstances.
  • Facilitating regular therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families to deliver evidence-based interventions aimed at enhancing mental health.
  • Monitoring patient progress through ongoing assessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimum outcomes.
  • Collaborating with other mental health professionals, including specialists, to refer clients when additional support is required.
  • Utilizing therapeutic techniques and practices that promote healing and personal growth for a diverse range of emotional and psychological issues.
  • Documenting patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with organizational policies and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at El Paso Behavioral Center, you will work with clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and family dynamics. Our patient population reflects a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, and your empathetic approach will be essential in helping them navigate their unique situations.

Qualifications

  • A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • Significant knowledge of evidence-based practices for addressing substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, which can be beneficial in informing treatment strategies.
  • Strong therapeutic and counseling abilities, with a talent for motivating and empowering individuals and families in their treatment journeys.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective collaboration with teammates and consultations with patients.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of one year of professional experience in a clinical setting as an LMFT, demonstrating competence in providing therapy to individuals and families.
  • Specialized training or certifications in addiction counseling or working with co-occurring disorders is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, employees will enjoy an extensive benefits package that includes:
