Herrick Baptist is prayerfully seeking a bi-vocational pastor. We are a Southern Baptist Church located in the rural community of Herrick, Illinois. Our Sunday morning attendance averages 35-45 worshippers. Our congregation is eager to partner with a pastor who has a vision for encouraging our faith and reaching our community for Christ. We are seeking a pastor who will teach God’s Word, shepherd our congregation and actively engage the surrounding community. The qualified applicant would be in agreement with Southern Baptist doctrine and have a heart for evangelism, discipleship, and community outreach. Responsibilities would include teaching the Bible during regular worship services (Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening), equipping and encouraging members for ministry and outreach, and working alongside members to develop and implement a vision for church revitalization. Compensation will be discussed with qualified candidates. A church-owned parsonage is available in Herrick for those who desire housing, but residency within the community is not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr IL Baptist State Association
