Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.ResponsibilitiesLead and build the North Carolina/Georgia traffic team.Pair with Technical Lead(s) to continue and grow Traffic Engineering service offerings.Collaborate with other Transportation Discipline Leaders and Project Managers.Serve as Project Manager on traffic-focused projects, which could include Traffic Control, Signing and Marking, ITS, Signals, and/or Traffic Operations/Analysis.Prepare marketing materials and serve as Traffic Engineering Lead for project pursuits.Build strong working relationships with transportation clients in North Carolina and Georgia.Manage Projects and other project managers in the traffic engineering group.Manage task assignments and workloads and monitor project schedule and budget adherence in the Traffic Engineering group.Perform QC reviews of design plans and documents prepared by staff and other consultants.Required Skills & Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer license is required. Ability to get NC PE within three (3) months.15+ years of experience in traffic and transportation engineering, preferably with state and municipal agencies.Experience with Traffic Design (contract plans, specifications and estimate preparation for signals,Experience leading a team of engineers.Experience managing and delivering projects and tasks to meet set schedules and budgets.Ability to develop scope of work documents and prepare man-hour estimates.Ability to provide quality control oversight for aspects of traffic engineering tasks within candidate’s expertise.Ability to maintain good employee relations and project communication with both internal and external clients.Active in one or more traffic/transportation engineering related professional organizations (e.g., ITE, ITS America, WTS, ASHE)Preferred, but Not Required Qualifications:PTOE certification.NCDOT experience.Don’t meet every single requirement?
