Cath Lab Special Procedures Technologist - Travel Assignment

Pikeville, Kentucky | Day Shift | $69.83 per hour base pay

Sable Corporation is recruiting a Cath Lab Special Procedures Technologist for one travel opening at Pikeville Medical Center. Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart and interventional radiology procedures in a specialized procedural setting.

Schedule and assignment

Four 12-hour day shifts each week, 7 a.m. 7 p.m., with a 48-hour workweek listed by the facility. The listed assignment is 13 weeks; the facility may offer up to 20 weeks. Exact start date and final assignment terms will be confirmed before placement. Participate in the facility's call rotation; call coverage requires arrival at the hospital within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sterile diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, PCI, vascular procedures and specialized cardiac devices.
• Support balloon pump and Impella procedures, intravascular ultrasound, hemodynamic monitoring and pressure calculations.
• Assist with structural heart and electrophysiology procedures, device placement, ablations and cardioversion.
• Support vascular access, sheath management and closure devices within competency and facility policy.
• Prepare and maintain procedural and imaging equipment, monitor contrast use, and document clinical and procedural information in Epic and Philips XPER.
• Support patient transport, sterile technique and emergency response with the procedural team.

Required qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and an associate degree in Radiology Technology.
• ARRT certification and Kentucky state certification.
• BLS and EKG training, including the facility's annual EKG competency requirements.
• At least one year of travel experience and agreement to the 48-hour contract schedule.
• ACLS at the next available class within six months and PALS within 24 months, according to the facility job description; the recruiter will confirm contract-specific timing before placement.

Preferred qualifications

Nuclear Medicine certification and ODC, as listed by the facility.

Compensation and application

Base hourly pay is $69.83. Overtime and any applicable travel package will be explained in the assignment agreement.
