People Operations Generalist

We’re looking for a People & Culture Generalist to support a fast-paced, high-trust startup environment in a highly technical manufacturing company. This role spans HR operations, employee relations (ER), HR compliance, HRIS management, and employee lifecycle support across both hourly manufacturing/technician teams and salaried engineering and corporate staff. This is an opportunity to help build and scale People Operations infrastructure at a fast-growing organization where your ideas, judgment, and execution will directly influence employee experience and company culture. You’ll need strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to connect day-to-day HR work to broader business needs. Responsibilities Partner with managers and leadership to support employee experience, team effectiveness, and organizational growth Own and improve core People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and HR systems administration Build and scale HR policies, workflows, and infrastructure with an ownership mindset and focus on continuous improvement Manage employee relations matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices Qualifications 3–6 years of experience in HR Generalist, People Operations, or HRBP-adjacent roles Strong knowledge of HR compliance, California labor law, and FLSA classification (hourly vs. salaried) Experience handling employee relations (ER), investigations, and confidential matters Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations, ideally in manufacturing, engineering, or technical environments Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Rippling, BambooHR, Workday, Gusto, or similar) and comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments Benefits Diamond Foundry believes in supporting our employees from the workplace to their personal and home life.
