Registered Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator

Registered Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator - New Rochelle, NY (#25141B) Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Registered Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator to fill an opening with a Review Company located in New Rochelle, New York. Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator:
- Participate in surveys or complaint investigations to include allegations of abuse and neglect, and perform surveillance activities/tasks at nursing homes (long-term care) to determine compliance with Federal and State regulations.
- Produce written documentation and draft a Statement of Deficiencies (SOD) within the required time frame, using Principles of Documentation.
- Assess compliance with the Plan of Correction within the required time frame.
- Complete data entry in Federal and State reporting databases as required.
- Participate in State monitoring during Immediate Jeopardy situations.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Testify in administrative hearings as needed.
- Adhere to DOH work schedules.
- Adhere to DOH and company policies, and procedures.
- Travel to onsite locations according to work schedule
- Must have an NYS Registered Nurse license
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience performing utilization review, claims adjudication, medical review, fraud investigation, surveillance, or monitoring activities; OR
- 3 years of clinical or administrative experience; OR
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing and 2 years of clinical or administrative experience
- SMQT Certification is preferred but should be able to obtain within 12 months of employment
- Must have a valid driver's license & the ability to travel to on-site facilities to review assignments
- Must have at least one (1) year of survey experience
- Employees must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts, as needed.
- Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, as the state will determine the work schedule.
- Weekend, holiday, and evening shift schedules will be assigned on a rotating basis.
- This is a travel position.
- Candidates will receive a premium pay rate for working on holidays and overtime.
- The salary for this position is $60 / hr

- This is a temporary-to-permanent position
- 5 sick days (40 hours), subject to the provisions of the NYS Paid Sick Leave Act
- Health insurance, subject to plan eligibility requirements
