Flex Agent - Executive Protection Agent

Job Details Job Title : Flex Agent- Executive Protection Agent Job Type : On Call/As Needed – Flex agents may become full‑time; no guarantee. Compensation : $700/day FLSA : Non‑exempt Job Summary This is an armed or unarmed Flex Agent position supporting Executive Protection assignments. Domestic travel is required, with occasional international travel. Candidates must be comfortable in fast‑paced environments, in social settings with high‑profile public figures, and able to jump into action to support teams with little or no training. Prior Executive Protection experience on an embedded team supporting a single client is required. While prior military or law enforcement experience is relevant and preferred, it does not replace the need for private‑sector EP experience. Flex Agents support short‑term needs on embedded teams and remain on a roster for deployment as needed. Our Global Operations team coordinates with agents to confirm availability and interest in open shifts. Candidates with additional experience and certifications will have greater opportunities to accept assignments. Responsibilities Ensure the overall safety and security of designated Principals. Drive Principals to various personal/business venues and/or additional off‑site assignments. Maintain proper use and maintenance of all equipment used in support of the protective operations program (vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.). Maintain an acceptable professional appearance. Communicate with the Principal’s staff, coworkers, and other third‑party vendors using a customer‑service approach. Adapt to various tasks assigned outside of traditional security operations/roles. Interact with children as required. Exhibit on‑the‑spot critical thinking and improvisation. Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and self‑awareness. Possess social engineering skills to achieve desired outcomes. Submit to pre‑employment, post‑accident, and random drug testing as determined by management. Work shifts that can include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Travel domestically and internationally when required. Provide close protection to Principals at various venues, events, business meetings, and personal trips. Maintain a positive attitude and conduct that contributes to a professional work environment. Conduct advance work for routes, venues, and travel trips. Produce detailed reports in writing. Coordinate with Principal’s staff and outside personnel to facilitate seamless operations. Maintain physical fitness to stand for long periods and engage in physically taxing activities such as running, swimming, and hiking. Engage responsibly with active threat against the Principal. Demonstrate proficiency in defensive tactics to deescalate or actively engage potential threats. Position Certificates and Licenses CA BSIS Security Guard license. A valid United States Driver’s License. Current passport with more than six months validity. CPR/First Aid/AED certification for adults, children, and infants. Preferred Education and Experience Certification from a recognized EP school. Graduation from a certified driving school. Military or law‑enforcement experience. Training in defensive tactics, counter‑surveillance, covert protection experience. Active first responder, paramedic or EMT certifications. Regular activity in outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, hiking, ocean sports. California CCW permit. Required Skills and Experience 2+ years of relevant EP experience. Good understanding of the latest technology in smartphones, communications/tracking apps, and collaboration apps. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communicator with ability to converse professionally with clients, superiors, peers, and vendors. Physical Requirements Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary. Prolonged periods sat at a desk monitoring surveillance equipment. Prolonged periods standing without a break (4–5+ hours). Lift 50 pounds at a time. Lift, drag a human up to 200 lbs or more if necessary. Perform bending, twisting, stooping, and crawling as required. Respond to physical attacks, natural disasters, and evacuations. Engage in physical activities such as hiking, biking, and swimming.
