Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Description

We are seeking highly motivated and committed candidates for an emergency department position. Applicants must be dedicated to fulfilling their assignments with no travel pairs allowed. This role requires availability every other weekend or more, depending on unit needs. Floating to other units may also be required.

Essential Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• MAB
• NIHSS
• PALS

Required Skills

• General Emergency Department experience (Adult/Pediatric)
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• STEMI Certified Facility experience
• Stroke Certified Facility experience
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Obtain 12-lead EKG
• Arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Phlebotomy
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Administration of emergency medications and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration
• Neuro-Trauma management
• Spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury care
• Management of various medical emergencies, including:



• Abdominal pain
• Asthma
• Burns
• Head injury
• Hyperglycemia
• Seizures
• Drug overdose
• Respiratory infections
• Skin disorders


• Managing violent behavior and psychiatric holds
• Intubation and care of ventilated patients
• Chest tube insertion and management
• Isolation precautions and triage

Unit Information

Daily Census: Approximately 200

Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Interdisciplinary Support: Includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.

Additional Information

All candidates will be held to standards of professionalism and accountability. Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with prior charge experience preferred. Experience with Meditech charting system is an advantage but not mandatory.
