Pediatric Pediatric Physical Therapist

Location: Commack, NYJob Type: Full Time (School Year)

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Pediatric Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat children with orthopedic, neurological, and developmental conditions. The therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to support each child's functional abilities and development.

Key Responsibilities

·         Evaluate children with orthopedic, neurological, and developmental conditions.

·         Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings.

·         Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercises, stretching, joint mobilization, and other appropriate techniques.

·         Communicate treatment plans and progress with parents, teachers, and other team members.

·         Participate in care planning meetings and professional development activities.

·         Document evaluations, treatment interventions, and patient progress accurately and promptly.

·         Collaborate with equipment specialists to determine appropriate assistive devices and equipment specifications.

·         Maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.

·         Ensure all required documentation and medical prescriptions remain current and accurate.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree or higher from a college or university accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

·         Active New York State Physical Therapist license.

·         At least two years of pediatric or rehabilitation experience preferred.
