Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Room (Freestanding Emergency Department)

Location

Humble, TX | Freestanding Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Weekend rotation required (expected 4 weekend days per schedule, Saturday and Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a 9-bed freestanding emergency department setting with patient ratios of 4:1 based on acuity, adjusting to 1:1 as acuity requires
• Perform triage, IV placement, foley catheter placement, EKGs, and moderate sedation procedures
• Run onsite lab work and perform point-of-care testing including flu, COVID, and strep swabs using available POC equipment
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Float as needed to the main ER, other offsite freestanding emergency rooms, and the pediatric emergency room
• Collaborate as a team player and remain flexible with assignments across a 3-RN night shift staffing model

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and BLS
• Demonstrated IV skills, EKG skills, and triage acuity training — candidates without these skills will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
• Experience working in a freestanding or offsite emergency department environment
