Radiology Technologist (PRN Day Shift)

Job Highlights Job Type: PRN – 2 shifts per month, minimum Shift: Day Shift (7 AM–7 PM) Facility Type: 16‑bed Small‑Format Hospital (8 ER beds, 8 inpatient beds) Benefits: 401(K) match (100 % vested day ONE!) Responsibilities Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to assist physicians, nurses and other staff in meeting patient needs across the facility. Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment, including X‑ray, CT, CR reader and PACS. Perform all imaging exams per established policies, procedures, regulations and laws, and notify the physician on duty of results. Perform basic clinical procedures under the direction of the physician and/or nurse on duty. Maintain documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats. Collect laboratory samples and perform testing in accordance with policies, procedures and CLIA regulations. Maintain an adequate supply of reagents and consumables for testing. Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and function checks of imaging equipment per protocol. Perform Quality Control and proficiency testing as established by the laboratory. Retain records of all analytic activities for a minimum of two years. Document all quality assessment activities for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor or Director. Serve as ER technician as needed. Travel to all facility locations as required. Attend staff meetings or other company‑sponsored or mandated meetings as required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED, required. Graduation from an AMA‑approved school of Radiology Technology, required. Associate’s degree in Radiology, preferred. Certification as a medical radiologic technologist required by the state in which practicing. Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography, required. Registered Technologist with ARRT in computed tomography, preferred, with the following exceptions: CT certification required (Las Vegas market). CT certification required within 12 months of hire (Pennsylvania market). Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, required. Two or more years of radiologic/imaging experience, preferred. One or more years of CT experience, preferred. One or more years of emergency room experience, preferred. Proficiency with most X‑ray/CT equipment, manufacturer’s hardware/software and PACS. Fluency in English, written and oral communication.
