About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab Description: The Cardiac Cath Lab has a total of 5 beds. There are 25 staff members on the unit. The team consists of various types of staff, primarily working day shifts. Day shifts are 10 hours long, with a schedule of 4 days per week. Night shifts are on-call. Patient ratios in the lab are 1:1. Equipment used includes X-ray, PACS, Mac Lab, i-stat, and Avox. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Typical procedures performed include diagnostic and interventional heart caths as well as structural heart procedures. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills and be a team player. Required certifications for nursing positions include RN licensure. For tech positions, certification such as RCIS or ARRT is necessary. Every fifth weekend entails on-call responsibilities from Saturday morning to Monday morning. This is a vacant position, created to fill a need in the department.
