PRN CT Technologist

Role Overview The CT Technologist delivers safe, high-quality imaging and supportive patient care at a designated health location. They work independently to operate imaging equipment, capturing diagnostic images while maintaining safety standards and minimizing radiation exposure. Key Responsibilities Perform CT procedures per departmental protocols, ensuring diagnostic image quality. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment, report issues promptly. Gather clinical history, verify patient identity, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety, providing age-appropriate care. Administer contrast via venipuncture, position patients, and apply shielding techniques. Review images for quality, repeat or adjust as needed, and document accurately in RIS/PACS systems. Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with safety protocols. Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and maintain compliance with regulations. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, BLS (American Heart Association). Strong technical knowledge of imaging procedures, patient communication, and safety protocols.
