From major renewable energy projects, electrification and decarbonization programs to expand grid capacity, to high voltage interconnectors and offshore grids, we are integrating a multitude of these elements to build a cleaner and more resilient energy future.As a CAD Designer, you will perform design/drafting assignments, requiring advanced working knowledge of design standards, practices and techniques using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Map 3D while working collaboratively in a global team environment.We are seeking an innovative CAD Designer to help us grow and deliver electrical transmission and distribution and renewable generation projects in North America.The role will require working with a team of designers, engineers, scientists, and GIS professionals across our global network. You will lead the creation of drawings from conceptual through final design, including preparation of single-line diagrams, general civil plans, grading, access road layouts, drainage and stormwater management plans, utility plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and alignments and profiles for linear underground and overhead energy projects.Responsibilities will include:Setup projects in CAD, coordinate data sources and manage user access.Provide CAD leadership and production support for project teams, including Project Execution Plan documentation, project kick-off meetings, file exports and client deliverable coordination.You will be a part of teams diverse in culture and discipline, working to meet the clients' needs as a cohesive unit. By joining Jacobs, you will commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.Here's what you'll need:Associate's degree or equivalent experience.At least 5 years' experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or AutoCAD Map 3DAdvanced experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and ProjectWiseHave knowledge and experience with civil design projects including using data from topographic surveys, DTMs, and performing grading, and utility layouts.Proficiency with general office software (Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams).Ability to work independently and with various disciplines to manage multiple tasks and projects, as well as anticipate, identify, and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner.Ideally, you will also have:PLS-CADD or ArcGIS Pro/Online Experience.Bentley Microstation, OpenRoads, or OpenBuildings ExperienceKnowledge of Revit to Civil3D workflowsKnowledge of the energy industry.Understands project workflows from concept, detailed design, estimation, bidding, and construction documentation, administration, and support.Autodesk Certified Professional.Posted Salary Range: Minimum $75,900.00.
