We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Largo, FL where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role includes ventilator management, airway support, and participation in rapid responses and codes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Florida state respiratory license in good standing.
• One year experience as an RRT.
• BLS certification.
• Critical care skills, including ventilator management and good patient assessment skills (client-specific requirement).
• Experience with Servo and 840 ventilators preferred.
• Experience performing nebulizer treatments, ABGs (arterial stick and from A-lines), and assisting with intubation/CODEs preferred.
• Experience working in hospital acute care environments preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
• Prior experience in facilities with telemetry, ICU, or progressive care preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900–0700.
• Night shift staffing typically includes four therapists on shift.
• Candidates may be required to float to the system’s psych/rehab campus as part of unit coverage.
• Primary equipment encountered: Servo and 840 ventilators.
