Overview

GKG is in search of a Registered Dietician/RDN in support of our Military Readiness Support Services (MRSS) for New Hampshire National Guard.

This is a 1099/Consultant position.

Note** This position is being recruited in support of potential future contract awards, and qualified candidates may be considered for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government clients.

Responsibilities

Registered Dietician: The Registered Dietitian shall develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive nutritional readiness program designed to help Service Members meet military body composition standards (in accordance with AR 600-9) and improve overall health and performance. To achieve this, the Contractor shall provide a multi-tiered approach: delivering targeted, mandatory remedial nutritional counseling to Service Members who fail body composition standards; providing proactive, evidence-based nutritional education to the force; and offering voluntary household nutrition planning to support the overall health of military families.
  • The Contractor shall develop and deliver evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and performance nutrition education. These intervention strategies must be specifically designed to maximize Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) readiness and
ensure personnel achieve and maintain strict compliance with military height, weight, and body composition standards.
  • Mandatory Body Composition Remedial Program: For any Service Member for whom a referral is initiated within the contractor's software by the Service Member or an authorized Government representative for failing to meet body composition standards
under AR 600-9, the Contractor's Registered Dietitian shall conduct an initial nutritional intake assessment within seven (7) business days. Following the intake, the contractor shall develop a tailored, written Body Composition "Get-Well" Plan within ten (10)
business days after referral, actively manage the case through continuous nutritional counseling, and formally close the case only upon receiving official notification that the Service Member is in full compliance with standards.
  • Voluntary Household Nutrition Plan: Upon request from an eligible beneficiary (to include Service Members, immediate family members, or eligible federal employees), the Contractor's Registered Dietitian shall conduct a nutritional needs assessment.
Within ten (10) business days of the assessment, the dietitian shall develop a tailored Voluntary Household Nutrition Plan and upload it to the treatment notes system. This plan shall focus on practical skills that support a healthy household, including, but
not limited to, collaborative meal planning, grocery shopping on a budget, promoting nutritious eating habits for children, and general wellness-focused dietary guidance for the entire household.
  • Promotional Content Generation: To support the program's broader outreach strategy, the contractor's Registered Dietitian shall develop and provide one piece of subject matter expert (SME) content to the CM on a weekly basis. This content shall be
suitable for a general military audience and may include topics such as performance fueling strategies, healthy recipes, or guidance related to the Army Body Composition Program. All content generations shall be synchronized with normally released Army
    publications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
  • The Contractor must be currently credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and hold active, unrestricted state licensure.
  • Preference shall be given to candidates possessing the Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) credential.
  • The Contractor must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Army Regulation (AR) 600-9 (The Army Body Composition Program) and Army Field Manual (FM) 7-22 (Holistic Health and Fitness).
Certifications
  • Registered Dietician RD or Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RDN).
