Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, supporting women through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs utilizing ultrasound and fetal monitors.
• Assist in surgical procedures such as C-Sections in the operating room.
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, postpartum care, and breastfeeding.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech EMR system and adhere to unit policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current BLS, NRP, and EFM certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Demonstrates assertive communication and critical thinking skills.
• Flexibility to rotate weekends and on-call shifts.
