Position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Other related duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant training program.BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.Minimum Two (2) years of experience as a MA in an ambulatory medical practice.Requires knowledge of medical terminology, on-line scheduling, universal precautions, and proper use of body mechanics.Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and consistently demonstrate empathy and kindness to all staff and patients.Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.Strong computer literacy.Strong ability to take initiative, prioritize demands and work in a team environment.Experience in a fast-paced, multi-specialty clinicScheduling experience.Proven knowledge of the patient flow process in order to efficiently monitor appointments, patients and available physicians.Ability to work as a team member.Ability to be flexible with varying demands in a small specialty clinic.Preferred QualificationsFive (5) years of recent experienced as an MA.Medication prior authorization experience.Experience with EPIC and Cadence module.Experience managing EPIC InBasket.Experience working with vulnerable patient populationsSpecial ConditionsMust be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.Pay Transparency ActAnnual Full Pay Range: $64,206 - $64,206 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)Hourly Equivalent: $30.75 - $30.75Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
