Bank/Balance Sheet reconciliation • Prepare month-end journal entries, along with necessary supporting documentation • Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations including cash, work in process, accrued liabilities, prepaids, among other accounts.• Assist with analyzing job costs and closing jobs at month-end • Analyze weekly cash and bank transactions to ensure properly recorded • Research accounting questions from business unit personnel and Corporate • Research and review reconciling items or accounting issues, recommend or resolve issues • Assist with process improvement and documentation of procedures.• Complete variance analysis and provide insights on changes in trend and period-over-period movements.• Assist in preparation of internal monthly and year-end financial reporting • Support annual audit procedures through data gathering, variance explanations, and documentation preparation.• Ad-hoc requirements – supporting the business with any ad-hoc reporting or request. Such areas may include system implementation/enhancements, ad-hoc business analysis/ modelling, local tax reporting and compliance, acquisition and integration support and other special projects as assignedRequired Education/Experience:• Undergraduate degree in accounting • Minimum five years of senior experience • Prior extensive ownership of the monthly close cycle in a multi-site environment ideally complex/growing.• Financial reporting background • Advanced Excel • Acquisition experience in a PE-backed company is a strong bonus • Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
