Process Engineer

Arcadis is seeking a Process Engineer to support biologics manufacturing operations at a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical facility in Wilson, NC. The successful candidate will play a key role in equipment startup, process implementation, manufacturing support, and capital project execution. This role will work closely with engineering, operations, validation, and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of manufacturing and facility initiatives. Provide process engineering support for biologics manufacturing operations in a GMP environment. Support startup, commissioning, and operational readiness activities for new and existing manufacturing equipment. Participate in capital projects (CAPEX) from design through implementation and startup. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Validation, Quality, Automation, and Maintenance. Develop and review process documentation, engineering specifications, SOPs, and technical reports. Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to improve reliability, efficiency, and product quality. Support process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline. 4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biologics manufacturing environments. Experience supporting GMP-regulated manufacturing operations. Experience with equipment startup, commissioning, or implementation activities. Experience supporting capital projects (CAPEX). Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to work onsite full-time in Wilson, NC. Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation. Preferred Qualifications Experience in large molecule, biologics, or drug substance manufacturing. Knowledge of process equipment, manufacturing systems, and facility operations. Experience supporting process scale-up, technology transfer, or facility expansions.
