Job Description: Speech‑Language Pathologist Location: Milford, Connecticut Position: Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) Position Overview: The Milford School District is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech‑Language Pathologist to join our team. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This role is crucial in supporting students' academic success and social development through improved communication skills. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results. Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students' communication development. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress. Participate in IEP meetings to develop appropriate goals and interventions for students. Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on speech and language development strategies. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid Connecticut state license in Speech‑Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA). Connecticut Educator Certification with an endorsement in Speech and Language Pathology (Endorsement Code: 061). Previous experience in a school setting preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Requirements: Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting. Compliance with state and federal regulations for special education.
