This role encompasses assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, operating life-support equipment, administering advanced treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The position requires strong critical care skills, advanced clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics in high-acuity settings. Essential Functions Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition Administer complex medications and treatments per approved critical care nursing techniques Operate and manage advanced life support equipment Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments Document conditions, reactions, and interventions; notify the provider of changes in patient status Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring Document assessments and interventions accurately and timely for continuity of care Educate patients and families about the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education Adhere to infection control protocols and regulatory standards Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operations Perform other duties as assigned within scope Adhere to hospital safety protocols and guidelines Required Qualifications One year of recent ICU RN experience Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS and ACLS certifications Preferred Qualifications CCRN certification TNCC, NIHSS certifications Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication English language proficiency Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills Physical abilities to remain stationary, move equipment, push/pull, and bend Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel Technical/motor skills to assist with procedures and equipment Mental ability to manage deadlines, work under supervision or with limited supervision, and maintain concentration Sensory abilities including visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Competitive pay for travel professionals Medical, dental, and vision insurance with first-day coverage PTO after 1560 hours Life and short-term disability insurance 401(k) matching Refer-a-friend bonus 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Why Choose Fusion?
