Schedule: 5 days a week with rotating weekends

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable Food Service Worker (Cook) to join our team in a hospital cafeteria environment. In this role, you will prepare and serve quality meals while providing excellent customer service and maintaining food safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with cooking experience who enjoys working in a mission-driven, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, portion, and serve a variety of hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards to ensure all meals meet established guidelines.

• Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests and cafeteria patrons.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen and food service area.

• Assist with food preparation and presentation for catered events and special functions.

• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while supporting the overall food service team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cooking, food preparation, or line cook experience required.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Healthcare, cafeteria, or high-volume food service experience is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00/hr.
