Independent Handyman (1099)

Job Description

The Independent Handyman (1099) is a self-employed contractor responsible for delivering reliable repair and maintenance services for both residential and commercial properties. Working autonomously with their own tools and vehicle, the handyman manages scheduling through company-provided software, travels locally within the state, and maintains direct communication with customers to ensure quality and timely solutions for each project.

Responsibilities

Perform repair and maintenance services for residential and commercial clients
Prepare accurate service estimates for projects
Manage scheduling and timelines independently using company software
Utilize and maintain personal tools and equipment effectively
Interact professionally with customers to assess needs and provide solutions
Travel locally within the state to project sites using a personal vehicle
Demonstrate strong time management and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in handyman or appliance technician services
Valid driver’s license for local travel
Experience with electrical repair and plumbing
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong time management, scheduling, and problem-solving abilities
Experience with equipment maintenance
