Mechanics - Truck & Heavy Equipment

These opportunities may include Truck and Heavy Equipment Mechanic positions at our various repair facility locations, including Torrington, Southbury, Danbury, New Milford, Bridgeport, and Stamford. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of trucks and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.Union membership is required at the time of hire or within the applicable application window.Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, transmissions, steering, electrical systems, and other mechanical componentsDiagnose and repair heavy equipment and paving equipment componentsRemove and replace heavy equipment and truck components as neededPerform preventative maintenance and inspectionsRun diagnostic tests and interpret results accuratelyPerform Federal Motor Carrier periodic inspectionsUse power, machine, and hand tools safelyFollow all repair shop regulations, safety procedures, and standardsQualifications:35 years of experience as a truck mechanic and/or heavy equipment mechanicProficient in equipment software diagnostics and repair based on manufacturer specificationsStrong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy equipment, hydraulic systems, and electrical systemsWelding experience preferredExperience repairing paving equipment is a plusStrong attention to detailGood diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsBasic math skillsPlease note we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this position.To access different languages for the application process, click START YOUR APPLICATION.
