About You

As a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis Department, the FP&A Analyst will work with Wakefern Finance and Transportation divisions. This associate will perform financial forecasting, scenario planning, budgeting, and P&L analysis related to Wakefern’s Transportation Division.

Essential Functions

• Creates the fiscal year budgets for Food Haulers, NTS, and 7 Logistics departments in Wakefern
\n
• Analyze and prepare period end P&L reports for all the areas listed above
\n
• Analyze transportation costs for new sites including Wholesale customers
\n
• Prepare select monthly journal entries
\n
• Work with accounting team to reconcile any discrepancies found
\n
• Work with Vice President of Transportation on any special projects
\n
• Forecast current year expenses and income for Transportation departments
\n
• Reviews accuracy of the Transportation Division General Ledger.
\n
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance business processes, reporting, and decision-making.

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
\n
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/analysis experience required
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
\n
• Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement reporting
\n
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous process improvement and automation.
\n
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives
\n
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
\n
• Ability to build relationships across divisions and navigate Wakefern to find answers to important questions.
\n
• Effective presentation skills
\n
• Advanced proficiency with computer operating systems and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and TM1.
\n
• Experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot, AI, automation, or advanced analytics tools to improve financial planning, reporting, decision-making, and business processes.
\n
• Availability to work a varied, flexible schedule to meet business demands
\n

Additional experience considered a plus

• MBA or Master’s Degree in relevant field
\n
• Knowledge of TM1 Analytics and SAP
\n
• Experience with FP&A tools
\n

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 annually. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
