Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on night shift, requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical Combination unit of a Level III Trauma Center hospital
• Serves patients of all ages
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36
• Weekend rotation on an every other/as needed basis
• Call requirements are as needed
• Float requirements as needed with possibility to float to similar med/surg units
• Uses Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Uses Meditech EHR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• MS/Tele experience required
• IV insertion skills required
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to an all-ages patient population
• Professional demeanor expected on the unit
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
