The agency is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.**# **Job Type/Salary/Location*** Full-time* Vacancies: One* Salary: Up to $50,000.00 annually based on education and experience.* Primary Working Hours: M-F; 8:00am – 5:00pm* FLSA Status: + Level I – Non-Exempt + Level II & III – Exempt* Location: Oklahoma City, OK* Supervisory: Not Applicable* Training: On-the-job* Travel: Occasionally but not frequent# **Benefits*** The State of Oklahoma offers a comprehensive Benefits Packet, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents.# **Position Summary of Responsibilities*** Receives, reviews and compiles complex statistical data to produce estimates of labor market information following guidelines from the United States Department of Labor (US-DOL) and the Bureau of Labor & Statistics (BLS).* Produce industry and occupation projections.* Apply statistical procedures and tabulations in analysis of the economic data collected.* Prepares and arranges statistical tables and charts to compile in manuals, handbooks and reports.* Participate in the required OESC and Economic Research & Analysis Division security protocols.# **Position Essential Functions*** Ensure the federal and state mandates are met as they relate to the US-DOL WI grant requirements populating various federal and state databases.* Adhere to QCEW, OEWS, LAUS, CES, and LMI program procedures* Identify, analyze, and correct (if needed) questionable data.* Consult with stakeholders across the state to obtain economic data.* Proactively ensure quality data collection by timely follow-up and resolution of all survey data problems.* Ensure program deliverables are completed on a date no later than set forth within the BLS and DOL grant guidelines.* Utilize excellent customer-service skills to provide the best results for the multiple activities involved in the division’s various programs.* Utilize outreach methods to obtain employer / business / industry, economic information to meet the US-DOL WI and BLS grant requirements.* Work special assignments & tasks as assigned by division management.* Participate in the required Economic Research & Analysis Division training regimen.* Follow the required security protocols of the division, agency and state.* On-site attendance is an essential function of the position, as the role requires direct interaction with staff, clients, and on-site office resources.These job functions, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. **Valued Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies** at the level III are listed below; the levels II and I require a minimal understanding of or beginning exposure to the following: **Knowledge of:*** Maintenance of complex records* Business communications, including English grammar, punctuation, and spelling* Modern office procedures and practices* Business mathematics* Major policies and procedures governing assigned programs* Statistical and research theory and methods* Sources of data* Probability and sampling* Data processing applications to data management problems* Visual representation of data* Inferential statistics* Data-collection techniques and labor market statistics* A wide range of analytical principles and practices* Methods and techniques of disseminating public information* Macro and Micro Economics concepts **Skills and Competencies:*** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, expressing ideas clearly and concisely **Ability to:*** Produce and maintain accurate data* Communicate statistical results* Plan and organize programmatic research projects* Conduct cost/benefit analysis* Write technical reports using statistical software programs* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others* Perform highly independent work* Work with others as a contributing team member* Multi-task* Handle confidential work* Interpret and handle routine matters in accordance with agency policy* Follow oral and written instructions# # **Physical Demands/Work Environment*** Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise levels. While performing the duties of the job, employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires regular periods of sitting or standing and daily use of computer and phone. It also requires the occasional use of office machinery in accordance with safety and security protocols.# **Minimum Qualifications*** **Level III** - consist of a bachelor’s degree which includes nine semester hours in statistics, statistical research methods, economics, demographic or social research statistics plus three years of experience in technical statistical and research work; or a master’s degree in a social science, business administration, mathematics, statistics, or public administration which includes nine semester hours of advanced statistical methods plus one year of experience in technical statistical and research work.* **Level II** - consist of a bachelor’s degree which includes nine semester hours in statistics, statistical research methods, economics, demographic or social research statistics plus two years of experience in technical statistical and research work; or a master’s degree in a social science, business administration, mathematics, statistics, or public administration which includes nine semester hours of advanced statistical methods.* **Level I** - consist of a bachelor’s degree which includes nine semester hours in statistics, statistical research methods, economics, demographic or social research statistics.# **Special Skills/Requirements*** Computer Skills – Employee must be capable of proficiently using the OESC’s standard software (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Teams), and the Internet, as well as proficiency to learn other software as needed.* Employee must be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving objects of up to 25 pounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
