Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in delivering emergency services while effectively managing patient care. The ideal candidate will thrive in high-pressure situations and demonstrate strong critical thinking abilities.

Shift Notes:

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours guaranteed per week

Weekend Requirements:

• Every other weekend
• Holidays required if needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in emergency situations according to established guidelines and protocols.
• Function independently under the general guidance of the nursing management.
• Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegating, and problem-solving skills in delivering patient care.
• Maintain emotional stability in emergency settings while demonstrating critical thinking skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Room experience is required.
• ED Triage and Cardiac Room experience preferred.
• IV Certification is preferable.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• ENPC and CEN certifications are preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts RN License at the time of profile submission.
• Active American Heart Association certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Must have own vehicle for travel needs.

Dress Code:

Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable.

Additional Information:

Requested time off during the assignment must be indicated at the time of submission, with no more than 5 days of requested time off accepted.
