Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies for pediatric cardiac surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Assist surgeons during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining sterile field.
  
  
• 
  Ensure all equipment, including cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO cannulation tools, are correctly set up and functioning.
  
  
• 
  Follow strict safety, infection control, and hospital protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
  
  
• 
  Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records, prioritizing Epic charting.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with surgical team members to support workflow efficiency and patient safety.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid CST certification.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in cardiac or pediatric cardiac surgery.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO cannulation.
  
  
• 
  Have healthcare work experience within a hospital setting, preferably in cardiovascular surgery.
  
  
• 
  Maintain a valid state license (OH or multi-state license).
  
  
• 
  Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with no exemptions.
