Data Architect

We are seeking a Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of a modern data ecosystem within a growing, technology-driven organization. This role will play a critical part in establishing scalable architecture, improving data integrity, and enabling more efficient product development through well-structured data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards and best practices
• Design and optimize data models, storage systems and data flows to support scalability and performance
• Lead development and enhancement of data warehouse solutions
• Identify and reduce inefficiencies across data systems, including duplication and performance bottlenecks
• Partner with engineering and cross‑functional teams to align architecture with business needs
• Evaluate current‑state systems and recommend improvements to support future growth and stability
• Establish guidelines for data governance, quality and consistency

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or related roles
• Experience designing and implementing data warehouse solutions
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles
• Experience improving performance and scalability of data systems
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate technical concepts clearly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple database technologies (any major RDBMS)
• Exposure to distributed systems or broader architecture domains (application, infrastructure, integration)
• Familiarity with modern reporting or visualization tools
• Experience working in high‑growth or evolving technical environments

Additional Details

This role will initially focus on assessing the current environment and identifying opportunities to improve structure, performance and scalability. The position requires a thoughtful, systems‑oriented mindset and the ability to balance strategic planning with practical execution.

Key Details

• Location: Oak Brook, IL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
• Compensation: $180,000 – $200,000 annually
  • Bonus: Eligible to earn a 5% – 10% annual performance‑based bonus
  • Equity: Not eligible
