Job Summary The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed provider who is responsible for the assessment and management of patients across various settings, including ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural contexts. The PA will perform complete histories and physical examinations, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, develop and implement care plans, and provide high‑quality documentation. The PA may also precept learners and perform bedside procedures as appropriate. Essential Functions Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population. Performs complete histories and physical examinations. Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests. Develops appropriate plans of care and follow‑up based on diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings. Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies. Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries. Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population. Qualifications Education Master's Degree Physician Assistant required. Licenses and Credentials Physician Assistant (State License – MA PA) required. Experience Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant preferred. One year of experience in Cardiovascular Medicine is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical conditions and interpret findings. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Work Details Location: 70 Francis Street, Onsite.
