Assembler

Overview Position Overview: At Brunswick Fort Wayne Operations, as an Assembler, you will assemble pontoons and sub-assemblies, partially or completely, working at bench, in a boat, or on the shop floor. Essential Functions Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times, and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Engineering Prints Visually inspect and/or audit units for quality. Discuss quality issues with lead or supervisor to resolve problems. Use a variety of electric and pneumatic hand tools Seek positive solutions to issues and problems Must be able to complete work within takt time Keep work area clean and organized Maintain a high standard of conduct and comply with company policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, sleeves, etc. Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business Experience using basic hand and small power tools including drill, saws, sanders, measuring tape, level, etc. Must be able to read a blueprint Previous manufacturing and/or machinery experience preferred Must be able to communicate and work in a team environment Demonstrate basic computer skills Compensation and Benefits The anticipated pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Brunswick’s compensation decisions are based on qualifications and context. Working Conditions While performing duties, the employee is frequently standing and may lift heavy objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds. The employee will walk, push/pull, reach, and climb stairs. The employee is occasionally required to squat, kneel, and perform fine hand movements such as tightening screws, bolts, and securing pins.
