Director of Product, Customer Experience

Role Description

Voltus is seeking an exceptional Director of Product Management to lead the team that owns the core customer-facing aspects of our platform. Reporting to the VP of Product & Design, you will lead critical product areas including:

• Customer dispatch
• Customer performance
• Market settlement
• Customer hardware and metering data
• Overall customer financial experience

This is a high-ownership leadership role with the opportunity to define bold strategy, build and scale a high-performing PM team, and apply deep product expertise to complex, commercially meaningful problems in energy. It's also a player-coach role: you will coach and develop the PMs on your team while staying hands-on, driving delivery for core features yourself.

You and your team will partner closely with our market platform PM team, engineering, design, energy markets, and commercial leadership to deliver intuitive, scalable solutions that make it easier for customers to participate in (and profit from) electricity markets.

Voltus is a fully remote company. Candidates must reside and be authorized to work in the United States or Canada, aligned to a US time zone.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Product Management, with at least 3+ years leading and scaling PM teams in high-growth environments.
• Deep expertise in energy markets, specifically demand response, DER participation, energy storage, or grid services.
• Proven track record shipping customer-facing products at scale.
• Player-coach orientation.
• Fluency turning economic complexity into trust.
• A track record of bringing AI into how product teams work.
• Scrappy and action-oriented.
• Effective communicator and cross-functional influencer, including at the executive level.

• Build a customer experience that scales.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams.
• Balance vision and execution.
• Own the metrics that matter: customer engagement, retention, settlement accuracy, value per MW, and financial transparency.

• Base pay is $200,000–$230,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience.
